GIVE FROM YOUR WILL OR LIVING TRUST
One of the easiest ways to establish a legacy of Liberty is to include The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation in your will, living trust, or other estate plans.
You should consult your lawyer, whether your making a will for the first time or updating an existing document. You may want to consider language such as:
“I hereby give, devise, and bequeath The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation (EIN 13-3118415), now or formerly located at 17 Battery Place, Suite 324, New York, NY 10004, or its successor thereto, ____% of my residuary estate (or the sum of $____) for the benefit of its general purposes.”
Your unrestricted contribution is especially impactful as it gives us the flexibility to apply your generosity where it will have the most impact in sharing the story of Liberty and Ellis with the world.
