She was built for the Cunard Steam Ship Co and left Liverpool on her maiden voyage to Queenstown-Boston in May 1900. In 1909 she ran the Trieste-Fiume-Naples-New York route. Between 1914-15 she became a prisoner of war ship at London and resumed commercial services on March 1, 1917. She was scrapped in 1925.
