DE GRASSE / EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA – 1924
She ran for the French Line and made her maiden voyage in 1924 from Le Havre to New York. Seized by the German forces at Bordeaux and used as an accommodation ship. She was sunk 1944 and in 1945 refloated and built with a single funnel. Sold to Canadian Pacific Line and renamed the EMPRESS OF AUSTRALIA in1953. Sold in 1956 sold and renamed the VENEZUELA.
